Rubbing Shoulders...

Have you ever thought about the people that you are rubbing shoulders with every day, week or at certain times? We are people on the go and we come into contact with lots of people in the work place, at schools, churches, shopping and on vacations. Each person is a unique person with given traits, gifts and actions. I just love to sit in a mall, restaurant or store and watch the people... how they look, walk, talk, dress and just act in general. It would be so boring if everyone was alike. God made us different. I think He like variety.

I do believe that we do come across peoples lives for a purpose. Sometimes we can be a help or blessing to others.

"Every experience God gives us, every person he brings in our lives, is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see." -Corrie ten Boom

Every Day Is A Gift...

"Everyday is precious with time enough to love deeply." - unknown

As we start this new year, we should remember that every day is a gift, a fresh start with no mistakes in it, yet, a clean slate to fill up and a time to show love, compassion and kindness. We are so blessed!

Winter Wonderland...

We are experiencing a winter wonderland and I love it. It's all white and pretty. Here in Darke County, we're under a Level 2 snow emergency which means we shouldn't be out unless it is necessary. So, I'm doing just that.

The bad thing is that I'm not even dressed. I've been cleaning and arranging things in my night gown and housecoat. I couldn't hardly believe it was 2:30 so now I'm headed to wash my hair and get cleaned up. I must have this backwards some way:) Anyway, it's quite an enjoyable day!

I hope if you have snow, you're having a nice leasurely, fun day!

Enjoy the day!

Tonight, we will start to open our hearts
to the Miracle that happened many years ago
in Bethlehem
and tomorrow we will celebrate
the reason for Christmas!

Have a very blessed Christmas!

Christmas Week...

What a beautiful way to start Christmas week... beautiful white snow. I love the peaceful look of softly drifting snow. It is a winter wonderland.

I have always loved this poem by Robert Frost. He came to visit our class about fifty years ago when I was in grade school. I remember him being this little white haired man. At the time it was insignificant to me, but in later years when I realized who he was, it was a fond memory.

Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost 1923

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though.
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sounds a sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep.
