The True Gospel...

I love it when I find articles or commentators that think along the lines that I do. I found this article today titled, "The Cheap Grace Of Today's America." I know where people are coming from when they say salvation is a free gift, but you know, it wasn't. We are right now in the Easter season. Jesus paid the price... He gave His life for us, He suffered, died and rose again that we might live. Yes, it is free to us if we accept it, but it came with a great price.

It does concern me that so many churches are frivolous with gifts. People have been getting saved for about 2,000 years without drawings, prizes, lotteries or gifts. They needed forgiveness of their sins and peace of heart. For example, there is a large church in Texas giving autos, tv's and furniture among things as prizes or gifts if you come to Easter service. Well, where does it end? How can these churches ever beat the year before? I certainly don't think this is the way to go. I just feel concerned about it, but that's me.

I'm just thankful God loves us and will save us. To me that's the greatest gift of all.
