Finally Back

Lightning struck my DSL again last week. They sent the wrong DSL Box but I can use it. Another one should be on it's way & I'll switch out again. It is nice to be back.
These are pictures that I took today of Duane and his sons Kyle and David.

Rain

Today, I am so thankful that it is raining! This has been a bad drought year in Ohio. A lot of food is going to be high this year because of the drought. Of course, a lot of food is going to be high this year because of floods in other places. So, I am very thankful it is raining here!

I love rainy days. They always makes me feel like the Lords has His arms around me. But, that's me. There is such a closeness and comforting feeling. "You are loved with an everlasting love, and underneath are the everlasting arms."

Labor Day

We didn't really celebrate this as a holiday. We labored in the yard and garden.
I pulled weeds and mowed. It was extremely hot! So, I mowed in the morning and the evening. I went to see my Parents when they got in from KY and Mom and I went shopping. That was about it!

Later this evening we went over to Wayne and Wilmas to see them and look at some of their pictures of their vacation. They had a nice visit with our nephew Jason & Joanna Sturtevant and family in Colorado over the weekend. It was good to see them home safely!


Here are some pictures that Beth just got last week of Isaiah & Merrill's parents for their 66th anniversary. Amy is a great photographer as well as nurse. She has her little mini studio that she transports with her when she comes in. She needs cards that say, "Have studio will travel"! lol

We Are Loved …

"We are loved with an everlasting love!"
What else can be said? God's love is so great and he loves us so much. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Years ago there was a radio program that was on with Elizabeth Elliot, herself a past missionary, called "Gateway To Joy." I loved that program and miss it. Anyway, Elizabeth would say, "You are loved with an everlasting love, and underneath are the everlasting arms." I often think of that phrase. I know it is true and it is a great comfort.

One of her favorite ladies to talk about was Amy Carmichael, also a missionary, who wrote the following poem:


"Never will I ask of thee
more than thou canst do.
Ever I will be with thee?
Savior, Shepherd, too.
Never shall go forth from Me
a command too hard for thee.
Trust Me then, O child of Mine.
Faith knows not to fear.
Thou art Mine and I am thine;

Celebrating...

This afternoon we gathered for a carry-in at Grandpa & Grandma Lavy's to celebrate their "66 th" wedding anniversary and Grandpa Lavy's 87 th birthday. The following pictures are of some of the family that were there. This blog entry is dedicated to them.
