Looking Up...

Welcome this fine rainy late winter morning! Well, it looks like the snows almost gone. We have little piles here and there where it drifted, but mostly whats left is the brown grass of winter. Today will probably add to a lot of peoples depression with the economy and all. Even the working people are discouraged and worried.

Things are looking up...

I was listening to Crown Financial Ministries this morning. They gave a little morning minute on WEEC which was a shining light. So many people are going around and sounding like the sky is falling. He says we have 93% of the people working and there are companies that are even hiring. Now, I like that way of thinking!

Yes, things are tight and who knows might get worse, but look at the 93% who are working and look at it from that angle. Of course, we have to pull our purse strings in a little, but you know it's good to watch your budget.

A brother-in-law sent out an email this morning that I totally agree with...

Henry David Thoreau reminded us that a man is wealthy in proportion to the number of things he can afford to do without. The economic and energy crises that the world faces will probably be used by God to encourage people to simplify their lives. Too many of us know "the price of everything and the value of nothing." We are so glutted with luxuries that we have forgotten how to enjoy our necessities.

Today is a day of reconsidering the value of everything and to look on the upside not the downside. God is still in control and we live by His economy.

Just a few thoughts that I thought that I'd share with you today!

Have a great day... after all 93% of Americans are still working!!!
