Checking In

It is still snowing but now it is mostly snow flurries. I measured the snow and we have 5" here in our area. Well, it is a big beautiful snow, and I am pleased.

If it doesn't get windy, I might try to go out and sow my wild flower seed. With the snow I will know where it is and how well I got it spread around. This is also a good time to sow grass seed if you need to reseed. The snow which melts from top to bottom will deposit the seed on the ground. The biggest problem for this type of sowing is if the birds eat the seed before it is covered by more snow or is melted into the ground. I would suggest planting just before dark if it is not windy. Hey, it's worth the try!
